A Magic Towhee

Not too long ago, Danika and I were out birding and came across an Eastern Towhee.  Now we were able to get some better pictures of the Towhee, but when we got home we noticed a very unique image.  Now just for fun, I ask you the reader to figure out how this regular old Eastern Towhee can simply float in mid air.  Other than zooming in and cropping the second picture, neither image has been edited in anyway.

There is an answer… so don’t be afraid to take a guess!

  1. Clare was actually pretty close.

The Towhee is actually in flight, at the moment the picture was taken, the bird had just taken off and had its wings pressed close to its body. Its location between the two wires, made it appear it was simply sitting in mid air.
